Design inspiration
OpenMausBot (Apache-2.0, by its contributors): bots as contacts, inline approval cards, and a computer panel with a live preview. No code was copied.
Built on
- The Claude Agent SDK, copyright Anthropic, PBC, used under Anthropic's terms. It is not open source and is not bundled with Legion; npm downloads it onto your machine.
- The Model Context Protocol TypeScript SDK, MIT, by the Model Context Protocol contributors.
- zod, React, Vite and Electron (MIT), and TypeScript (Apache-2.0, a development tool only).
- boat.dev provides the optional per-agent cloud VMs. It is a separate service with its own terms.
- The optional Blender bridge downloads its parts only when you press Set up: the official Blender Lab MCP server (GPL-3.0-or-later, a separate program) and a community Blender MCP add-on (MIT). Neither is bundled. Blender itself is a separate program (GPL) that Legion only drives; the optional Settings button fetches one pinned official portable build after asking you.
The BSV knowledge pack
BSV mode loads an optional pack of notes into the Lattice. The text is written by the Legion project in its own words from public documentation; each note records its sources and what was learned about their licence. These are its main sources, with the licence status as recorded, not as a legal opinion. The list is not exhaustive: each note names its own sources, including some whose licence was never established.
- BSV Association and bsv-blockchain repositoriests-stack, wallet-toolbox, go-wallet-toolbox, teranode, simple-mcp and bsv-claude-agents: documentation and code read for the pack. Mostly under the Open BSV License (a modified MIT whose grant is limited to the BSV blockchain and its testnets); simple-mcp is MIT; some terms were not read in full.
- BRC standardsThe BSV specification set. Listed by its index page under the Open BSV License; per-spec terms were not verified.

Legion includes no code from these projects. The licence status of some sources was not established, and not every note was checked against its source word for word. If you hold rights in any of this and want a note changed or removed, please open an issue on the Legion repository. Trademarks belong to their owners.
Art and the app
The live Relic at the top of the home page runs on Legion's own mascot engine and its painted art, copied unchanged from the app (MIT): engine.js, verbs.js, the two stylesheets and relic.json in /mascot/.
The Relic, the muster portraits, the wordmark and the screenshots are Legion's own artwork, shown unaltered apart from scaling, cropping and file compression. Legion is released under the MIT License.

Legion is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Anthropic or boat.dev. It uses the Claude Agent SDK, which is subject to Anthropic's terms.
